about

Italian DJ and Producer Glauco Di Mambro’s music is a ritual experience between electronic and indie-dance, with an emotional and organic touch. The latest exhibition of his work finds itself at home on the increasingly popular The Gardens of Babylon, as he delivers the enchanting sounds of ‘Point Break’ featuring two original tracks alongside signature remixes from fellow countrymen Marvin & Guy and Sofia-based artist Diass.

Kicking off with the title cut, ‘Point Break’ is an attention-grabbing display of Indie Dance built from tough grooves and electro-tinged musicality from the outset. Riding alongside its assertive body of
punchy kicks, slapping snares and layered percussive drive, a robotic vox line and gritty analogue synths pulsate along to its undulating momentum from start to finish.

‘Ride The Swell’ comes next, electing for more organic sounds with an engaging cultural influence throughout. Downtempo grooves and tonal percussion lead the way alongside a rippling concoction of modulating synths and roughened bass tones, carving out a very primal-feeling hypnotic dancefloor cut.

Italian duo Marvin & Guy’s spin on ‘Point Break’ will pique your intrigue with its hardware-focused quirkiness from the off. A rolling electronic cut with limitless energy throughout, it offers up an interesting take on the original with rambunctious rhythms and endless electro flavours.
